He describes his days off and briefly how the working Italians built their cabins and established themselves. Also, a recent fire in a granite shed, the fiscal cost and loss of jobs. He was currently working on a memorial order from Texas; he learned the trade in Viuggi, Italy (near Como), "A good granite center, Viuggi."
